Enslaved By the Nanny State

Lyndon Baines Johnson 1963... "These Negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days and that's a problem for us since they've got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we've got to do something about this, we've got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference... I'll have them ni**ers voting Democratic for the next two hundred years".

Some people claim that LBJ never said this, I do know that the quote was referenced in at least one biographical account of the Texas Democrat.

Poor people, not only the poor minorities, but poor whites as well are enslaved by the welfare state.  They are no longer enslaved by plantation owners and bound in chains, they are enslaved by the government and are bound by entitlements.

LBJ was correct, blacks in America do have political pull. If they would just utilize that clout to free themselves from the trap that the Democrats put them in so many years ago, we wouldn't have the racial and class divide which we are experiencing today.

It saddens me to see how race has become the dividing issue that it is today.  This divide has been perpetuated by the left and their lackeys in the main stream media.

The leftist media will sensationalize any little story that has even the smallest chance of being construed as a racial issue. They do this with the blessing, and probably the direction, of the socialist democratic political machine.

The left understands that if they can divide us by race and class, it is harder for conservatives to unite all of these divided groups for a common cause.

Here are a couple of articles which articulate the situation very well.

Welfare Is Another Form of Slavery

Welfare: Modern-Day Slavery in America

I encourage everyone who reads this to share it and help to free their fellow Americans from the nanny-state.
