What is the world coming to when a little girl can't pray?

The liberals are stepping up their war on Christians.  This is just one of the fronts in the war to take away our freedoms.  It's as if they want to goad us into a fight.  The regime has increased the intensity of their efforts to divide us by religion, sex, class etc....

I they want a fight, I have a feeling that they are going to get one.

You can now be convicted for "attempted possession" of a chunk of lead.

File this one under "stupid, even for liberals".  When does common sense take over?  I know that's a silly question since this case is out of D.C. Seriously, even if I thought ANY type of gun control was a good idea, which I don't, this ranks up there as one of the stupidest cases I've heard of.  Not to mention a complete wasted of time and money on the part of everyone involved.  What's next? Will D.C. residents be restricted from buying fishing line weights? After all, they are lumps of lead just like the muzzle loader round.  A little heat and a mold and voila, you're a criminal.

Military Suicide vs. Banker Suicide

A recent article by Ben Moshinsky at Bloomberg discussed the recent increase in the suicide rate for individuals in the banking industry.  In the article he highlighted some of the suspected causes of the uptick in bankers committing suicide.  Among the causes he cited are stress, long hours and no support network.
In my opinion there is not a banker on the planet that knows the stress or long hours that a professional soldier or sailor knows.  To the military's credit there is a decent support network.
It just bothers me that banker suicides get so much attention and the skyrocketing military suicide rate gets minimal coverage from the main stream media. I am adding links to the Bloomberg article and a USA Today report on Military suicides.
The life of a human being is a precious thing. If you know of someone who may be in danger of taking their own life, please get them help A.S.A.P. regardless of their profession.

Workbook teaches kids that Second Amendment includes gun registration

This makes my blood boil.  We adults can debate gun control and the 2nd amendment all we want to.  To teach an outright LIE in our public schools is nothing short of liberal indoctrination.

If you have children in school and you don't want them to be brainwashed, I suggest that you review ALL of their school materials carefully.

The gun control advocates will surely brainwash as many children as we let them.  If the next generation is subjected to this garbage all is lost, regardless of how much we adults debate it.  Click the link below to read the whole story.

This AMAZING  documentary by Aaron Russo is enlightening beyond belief.  Please take the time to watch and be educated.  If EVERY taxpaying American would watch this and take action, we would truly be able to shake the chains of modern day slavery.  WAKE UP PEOPLE!

Principal who told kids not to speak Spanish will lose job - Houston Chronicle

I personally have no problem with these kids speaking Spanish to each other in school outside of the classroom.  In my opinion all academic discussions and interaction with staff should be in English.  This principal told the student body not to speak Spanish on campus period.  I think she over reached her authority.  Should she lose her job?  No, I think a review of school district policies and standardization of those policies is in order.  This woman is probably a competent educator.  Now she will lose her job over a minor mistake.

I believe these kids have a right to speak Spanish as they interact with each other while socializing at lunch or in between classes.  I work with Arabs, Australians, Filipinos, and Americans.  We all speak English at work but I have no issues with the Filipinos or Arabs speaking in their native tongue while interacting with each other.

I am a firm believer that if you live, work, or go to school in America, you should be competent in conversational English.  I do not believe that you should be forbidden from speaking your own language.

Some Texans Showing Their Ignorance

This is funny but sad at the same time.  Some Texans were up in arms over a TV Meteorologist using the Arabic word haboob  to describe a dust storm.  This term is commonly used worldwide.



Some of the complaints called the word a "Muslim" word.  Just because it's Arabic, doesn't mean it is Muslim. There are plenty of Arabs who worship within other faiths, there are even Arab Christians.



If these ignorant individuals want to cut out English words of Arabic origin, here are just a few that they'll have to do without:



admiral, alcohol, algebra, apricot, artichoke, average, candy, coffee, giraffe, guitar, lemon, lime, mattress, orange, sofa, spinach, syrup, soda, tangerine, tuna, and zero.



America is a great country, we have the right to complain about anything we please.  I think these people could have found much bigger issues to complain about than the use of haboob to describe a Texas dust storm.  Have they not been paying attention? We have problems with illegal immigration, massive deficit, erosion of our Constitutional rights, and an ever growing, big-spending government. Yet, these people choose to get upset about a commonly used word, jeeeez.



Don't get me wrong, I am a Christian, Patriot, American, and proud Texan.  However, unlike these folks, I know how to pick my battles.

Is This Planned or are they that Stupid?

As a U.S. Navy retiree, I experienced the "Clinton Drawdown", it had a severely adverse effect on the way we did business and more importantly on the morale of the troops.  Advancements were way down, it became harder to procure replacement equipment, operational and training budgets were reduced, and retention was very low. In short we sucked it up and did more with less.  I guess the drawdown served it's intended purpose by shrinking the total number of Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen, and Marines, but the damage it did to the service took years to repair.



The current proposal is far worse.  The timing couldn't be more tragic with China being bolder than ever, Iran so close to obtaining nukes, and things heating up in the Ukraine.  There are MANY other areas in which the budget could be slashed (that's a whole other post), but suffice it to say, defense is not one that should be gutted.



Which brings me to the title of my post.  Although I think that the past 5+ years has been amateur hour in the White House, I think SOMEBODY knows exactly what they are doing.  From the purge of senior military commanders to the militarization of DHS and other federal agencies such as the IRS, it makes you wonder if there is something else afoot here.  Only time will tell.
