You can now be convicted for "attempted possession" of a chunk of lead.

File this one under "stupid, even for liberals".  When does common sense take over?  I know that's a silly question since this case is out of D.C. Seriously, even if I thought ANY type of gun control was a good idea, which I don't, this ranks up there as one of the stupidest cases I've heard of.  Not to mention a complete wasted of time and money on the part of everyone involved.  What's next? Will D.C. residents be restricted from buying fishing line weights? After all, they are lumps of lead just like the muzzle loader round.  A little heat and a mold and voila, you're a criminal.
