First off, thanks to my Bro, Jeff, for the opportunity to fill his shoes while he's in the Great Republic of Texas attending his boy's college graduation (I remember him when he was a li'l ol' punkin head!). I'll endeavor to keep it interesting & varied. I'll start with the unlikely link between NY & TX politics.

Like the NY GOP could sink any lower. Inviting Texas Senator Ted Cruz to address them is a stroke of genius! Now I'm the farthest thing from a New York 'republican' you can get. I own guns, believe in God & want nothing from the government that I haven't earned. I believe in accountability & being responsible for your actions. I did not support John McCain or Mitt Romney, but I did vote for them.

Rep Pete King's nose is out of joint because Cruz voted against the Sandy Relief bill because it was laden with wasteful pork barrel spending (put in there by Sens. Chuck Schumer & Kirtsten Gillibrand).

The NY GOP is in deep trouble. They've been trying to make friends (cow-tow to) NYC and their money for years. NEWS FLASH: It's not working; not now, not ever. When you cross the Westchester County line heading North you'll notice a shift in attitude. It's somewhat more conservative, except when you get around Albany or any of the other bigger cities upstate.

It should be painfully obvious to Pete King, George Pataki, Dean Skelos & Steve Saland (Skelos & Saland are/were state senators) that we are tired of their brand of 'go along to get along' weak kneed politics being sold by the likes of Gillibrand, Schumer, Cuomo and by extension B. Hussein Obama. I hope Ed Cox sees this or his career should be in danger as well. New York needs a good stiff dose of reality check that Senator Ted Cruz can administer!
